KAHINA GIVING BEAUTY-giving back….

Women helping women. Philanthropy. Giving back… When I think about those acts of kindness, I must admit my mind doesn’t immediately think of amazing skincare. It is one thing to find a beautiful line of products that you really love, AND that really work. Its quite another to discover a brand whos vision and passion supercedes merely looking gorgeous and enters a whole other realm. Then I was introduced to KAHINA GIVING BEAUTY and was blown away for many reasons-only some of which were my gorgeously glowing complexion.

Founder ( and my new hero) Katherine L’Heureux, took a trip to Morocco and discovered the miracle of Argan Oil. Argan is extracted from a nut and has a super high concentration of nutrients that are the vital building blocks for healthy skin. So Katherine created KAHINA GIVING BEAUTY- a line that fulfilled her desire for a completely natural, gloriously simple skincare regime. ( KAHINA is actually certified by ECOCERT- the highest level of organic certification a product can get-very impressive!) She didn’t stop there. KAHINA gives back a portion of profits to womens rights and other types of programs that assist women in Moroccan cooperatives. Many of these women are actually the ones that produce the Argan Oil in her products! How incredible is that? I had the pleasure of embarking on a KAHINA regime that really made a difference in my skin. The ARGAN OIL is, of course, a must have. Not only is it an amazing moisturizer for skin, I can’t keep it off my hair, my dry cuticles, my rough elbows.. It is truly one of those do-it-all products that I will forever have in my beauty lineup. The TONING MIST smells like a Moroccan desert rose, boosts cell turnover, and is the perfect mid-day complexion refresher. I love the FACIAL CLEANSER because not only is it infused with tons of Argan and vitamin E, it really cleans my skin! I finish off with the yummy FACIAL LOTION which is universally great for all skins, and then the EYE SERUM. A word about that: I am an eye cream junkie and this one tops my list for a few reasons- it immediately reduces puffiness and minimizes the “ sleepless night” look, as well as being a great primer for under eye concealer or foundation. Talk about instant gratification. The packaging is gorgeous and totally chic. Made from recycled violet glass, it incorporates the signatures of the women who helped make it right on the bottle. Something that makes you proud to display it.

Congratulations to Katherine who has combined the two worlds of philanthropy and beauty, and helped so many along the way. It’s no wonder she put the words GIVING BACK on her products.
